LAGOS, NIGERIA – August 28, 2026 – ArtETHICS Awareness Initiative, in collaboration with The Unity Skill Acquisition Academy (TUSAA), has successfully concluded its Object-Based Learning (OBL) Experience and Guided Museum Tour at the Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art, Pan-Atlantic University.

The experience, organised under the theme “Raising a Generation of Integrity,” brought young people into an engaging learning environment where art, culture and ethical values were explored beyond the conventional classroom setting.

Through the Object-Based Learning approach, participants were encouraged to observe, question, interpret and connect artworks and cultural objects with everyday issues around integrity, responsibility, identity, respect, values and character.

The guided tour of the Yemisi Shyllon Museum of Art further exposed the students to Nigeria’s rich artistic and cultural heritage, allowing them to experience firsthand how creative expression can communicate ideas, preserve history and influence society.

The students responded enthusiastically to the experience, expressing excitement and amazement at the knowledge and perspectives gained from the artworks and cultural collections. What began as a museum visit became an interactive learning experience that challenged the young participants to see art not merely as something to admire, but as a powerful tool for learning, reflection and social transformation.

Speaking on the initiative, Tishegunfunmi Ade’ Adegbesan – The Founder of ArtETHICS Awareness Initiative emphasised the importance of taking values education beyond theoretical instruction.

“We believe that values are better understood when young people can see, experience, question and connect them to real life. Art provides a powerful mirror through which society can examine itself, and Object-Based Learning gives young people an opportunity to engage with that mirror.”
